Paths In the Woods Are Not Straight
The experience of the Dharma Path is never what we wished for or expected.
Looking a Mother Nature we can see that paths in the woods never straight. They are created by walking may times through the woods through trial and error.
Likewise, in Dharma, there's no right path, right practice, right mantra. Yet, we often ask, how should I be doing this? What's the right way?
One important attitude needed in creating a path is accepting that everything is workable. Rigidity is not helpful.
Adjustment, adaptation, suitability. These are signs of health.
What has your experience of forging your Vajrayana path been like?
