Vajrayana Rituals for Healing

Prof. Cathy Cantwell is an academic researcher at the Oriental Institute, University of Oxford. She specializes in Tibetan Buddhism and is joint author of Early Tibetan Documents on Phurba from Dunhuang. She is also devoted to the Dudjom lineage and the works of His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche.

In this lecture with slides presented at the Intersectional Center for Inclusion and Social Justice in February 2017 at Canterbury Christ Church University (48 minutes), Prof. Cantwell presents the ins and out of drupchen, a great accomplishment ritual, revealing the meanings of the ritual from the perspective of healing (making medicine) and general terms such as samaya.
